Foster Farms is a United States West Coast poultry company and also the largest poultry processor in California. As part of the Creative Services team, I help develop packaging, advertising, marketing collateral, and other published materials in print and digital.
Coastal Range Organics is a private label brand of frozen, fully cooked chicken that caters to health-conscious consumers. At Coastal Range Organics, the chickens and turkeys are never treated with antibiotics, hormones or steroids and are 100% fed on organic vegetarian feed. For this project, I assisted in redesigning the existing packaging into a fresh and contemporary look.
Citizen Science, created and powered by Tribal Planet, is an exciting platform that enables STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) education inside and outside of the classroom, demonstrating the power of these fields through experiments, games and play on a mobile device. Tribal Planet believes science can be a great equalizer, and the mobile phone provides the potential for unprecedented access and opportunities to connect to the environment around us.

To create a branded house for a grocery store
SOLUTION //
I wanted to create a modern and local urban grocery store that focuses on quality, loyalty and a unique shopping experience with environmentally-concious packaging design. Central is located in the heart of San Francisco. The idea behind the pinpoint was for this store to be the center of all your shopping needs. The sans serif type is thought to embody simplicity. I wanted the typeface to be direct and precise. The mood and feeling of the type also is associated with modern, friendly, clean and minimal. Living starts here!
Advancement is a local moving & storage company in San Jose, CA who offers residential and commercial moving services.
OBJECTIVE //
To create a brand of beer inspired by your favorite novel
SOLUTION //
Rivalry is a beer beverage line inspired by one of my favorite novels called “The Outsiders” by S. E. Hinton. If you’re unfamiliar with this book, it follows two rival groups, the Greasers and the Socs, who are divided by their socioeconomic status. I wanted to find something that truly represented the two rival groups and also separated them from each other. That is where the detail of the two labels come into place. The background of the label for Socs Lager shows the textured fabric of a letterman jacket and the leather of a Greasers jacket. I chose a bold and audacious look to portray the recklessness of the characters from the book. The red color symbolizes power and aggression. Rivalry is directed towards men and women in their early 20’s that dare to be wild and reckless.

To rebrand a non-profit organization and tell their story through printed & digital materials
SOLUTION //
Rocket Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco that is dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned dogs from euthanasia, and high-kill shelters. I chose the title “Freddie Loves To Play” because it automatically makes you think, “Who the heck is Freddie?”. I wanted the overall tone and voice to be engaging, ambiguous, friendly with a bit of quirkiness. I chose interesting full bleed images to attract the eyes. The concept of my book was to have a companion service for people looking for dogs that fit to their needs. The book features success stories of perfect matches. Think of it like Match.com, only it’s not a dating service, obviously.

To create a logo for a client with a simplistic and timeless look
SOLUTION //
The client specified that the logo should not be complex or complicated, yet simple and timeless. I chose a slab serif font for a bold, confident look with a modern touch. The simple heart-shaped symbol represents a baby named Cru & his crew. Together, those 2 letter C's signify a combination of love & unity.

To create a magazine that caters to hip hop fans
SOLUTION //
Hip Hop Realm is a magazine based on the world of hip hop, music, entertainment and it’s culture. It provides the fresh and latest music, trends, T.V, news/media and lifestyle in the hip-hop industry. The inspiration for this magazine came from my love for hip-hop. For the overall look of the magazine, I wanted to capture the essence of hip-hop’s visual style. The sans serif type was chosen for a modern and direct look.

To rebrand an existing restuarant logo
SOLUTION //
Hooligan’s Pub & Grill has been around for 20 years and has a full service restaurant and sports pub serving award delicious appetizers, entrees and has the best beers on tap. I wanted to keep the traditional atmosphere of the restaurant but also give it a more rugged and grungy feel. The logo has a fun, bold and lively personality to it, which was intended for energetic folks who enjoy sports, food and great quality beer.
